A Talented Team

A Talented Team

We are delighted to congratulate one of our managers who will be joining the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of all health & social care services in England, as an inspector! We see this as a glowing endorsement of Fairmont’s training and the quality of staff we recruit. Caroline has been a huge asset and we are so happy to share her success with you. Caroline was closely involved in the recruitment of her replacement Matt Stevens who she will be mentoring until she moves on at the end of October. Well done, Caroline!

Matt Stevens comes to us with years of experience as a registered manager and a whole lot of passion for care. When we asked Matt about his first impressions of Fairmont, here’s what he said: “What a very welcoming staff team! I felt at home straight away and knew Fairmont was somewhere I could settle down and help to make positive outcome with the service users we all support.”

Going the Extra Mile

People who work in care do so to make a difference to the people they support. Our staff at Fairmont believe in going the extra mile. One of our service users made some very special memories this August when he was a groomsman at his brother’s wedding. He was supported on the day by a great staff team.
Mum’s comments after the day: “What Fairmont did to facilitate my son’s attendance at the wedding was over and above what any other service provider would have done. You planned for every eventuality… Thank you, Fairmont, you are outstanding!”
We have a firm commitment to high quality care and deliver this by recruiting the right management, senior and care support worker teams and by continuous investment in staff supervision, training and development.

Our Mission

We create comfortable, safe and secure homes for the people in our care. We ensure through a personalised, consistent and structured approach that our Service Users develop to their full potential. Our activity programmes reflect Service User preference and choice ensuring life is enjoyable.

Employee Case Study: Anna Shannon recently celebrated 10 years at Fairmont

“I love working at Fairmont, above all because of the quality of life we offer all our Service Users. In that respect, we are not a standard care home. We offer our Service Users fantastic opportunities to access the community and enjoy a full life. I have been with Fairmont almost since the beginning and know the Service Users really well. No day is the same and it is very rewarding to see the difference we make to people’s lives. Since joining in 2008, I have been trained in TEACCH, Makaton, Autism, MAPA, and many others including completing my QCF 5 and Assessors Award with the company. Shortly after coming back from a year off for maternity leave I was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2016. In May 2018 I was promoted to Registered Manger, responsible for 2 sites. I particularly enjoy mentoring new members of staff and seeing them grow in confidence and skills.”

New Team of Deputies:

Emma Thomas, Hannah Marks and Laura Homer have all been with Fairmont for between 3 and 4 years. They have consistently shown their commitment to Fairmont and our Service Users, growing in knowledge and confidence. They are a fantastic addition to our management team.

We are always keen to hear from applicants who share our desire to deliver outstanding care.

Due to recent expansion we have a number of vacancies for both night care support work & day care support workers. Our standard week would be 39 hours over three long days, but we can also offer some part-time hours.
