Deputy Manager

This is an important leadership post within our home. You will need to be able to demonstrate you have the qualifications, skills and knowledge to support the Registered Manager and deputise in their absence.  You will also assist and support the Registered Manager in ensuring all aspects of the home and service is maintained to the highest industry standards. Supervising staff and taking overall responsibility for monitoring care plans, ensuring Service User needs and wishes are acted upon, is a key element of this post.

Place of Work:
Botts Farm, Kinver

Hours of Work:
Based on a 40 hour week, your time is shared between office work and working directly with Service Users.  This includes weekends, evenings and occasional night duties. There are also additional ‘on-call’ duties during evenings, nights and weekends – shared via rota with the Management team.

Qualifications:
You will need to have at least QCF 3, be prepared to undertake QCF 5 and have at least five years’ experience in a senior role where you will have had responsibility for leading shifts and managing junior staff.

Knowledge:
You will need to demonstrate a very good knowledge of Autism and its associated complexities. The interview process will also determine your knowledge of the legislative and inspection framework for adult care homes.
