The Company
Fairmont Residential Limited, is a private limited company registered under the Companies Act 1985 (Registered No.: 05934840).  As a new provider of residential care homes for adults with severe learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders Fairmont has and continues to consult and seek advice from Sunfield Children’s Homes Ltd. Sunfield is a long established company and registered charity providing education and residential care for children and students on the autistic spectrum. Fairmont has sound contractual arrangements in place with Sunfield for their expertise in areas such as therapies, education, staff training and quality assurance.

Fairmont Residential Limited is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), and fully operates in line with legal requirements and best practice guidelines. Staff work with service users, their immediate families and the placing authority to ensure we meet service user’s individual needs. Our Aims
Our aims are based on principles of choice, respect, privacy, dignity, independence and self-expression. We aim:


    To put the needs of the service user first by:

  • Assessing whether we can meet their needs.
  • Respecting the needs and wishes of service users through person-centred planning, meetings with key workers, service users’ meetings, discussions. with staff and immediate family members, and six monthly care plan reviews
  • Respecting the communication and learning styles of service users.
  • Supporting their involvement within the local community as far as they are able through education, vocation, leisure and social activities.
  • Engaging them in the decision-making process relating to themselves.
  • Enabling and empowering them to achieve maximum independence and self-determination.


    To employ staff who are able to meet the needs of service users by:

  • Recruiting and selecting staff who have the enthusiasm and potential to be able to give service users the support that they require (whether that be culturally, socially, spiritually or in terms of occupation or leisure interests).
  • Delivering staff training that is specific to the needs of the service user.
  • Supporting staff through relevant vocational and academic education.


    To develop the service proactively and responsively by:

  • Taking account of best practice guidelines, legislation and advice from government and other sources.
  • Taking account of the identified needs, wishes and suggestions of service. users, their immediate families, staff and other advocates.
  • Identifying new and appropriate training opportunities for staff.
  • Investing in external Quality Assurance monitoring.
  • Implementing advice from regular statutory inspection outcomes.
